If you have multiple computers in your home, you can set up your Meteor installation so that Meteor will recognise all of your computers and allow you to choose between them.
Choose one computer that will be the server. It works best if this computer is the one that is most likely to be turned on - ideally a home server.
Run the Meteor installer on this computer. If this computer is also used for media
playback, just install by accepting all the defaults.
If you are installing on a
server that will not be used for media playback then on the feature selection page
make sure to change the "Meteor" option from "Will be installed on local hard drive"
to "Entire feature will be unavailable" (it should look like the image below).
Run the Meteor installer on all your other computers. For each one, on the feature
selection page change the "Meteor Hub" option from "Will be installed on local hard
drive" to "Entire feature will be unavailable".
Run Media Center on each media playback computer, waiting until you see the message
that says that Meteor has successfully started.
Run Meteor on your phone. On the connection settings screen, enter the host name (may not work on some networks) or the IP address of the computer you used in step 2, then hit the refresh button.
Meteor should display you a list of all the computers in your home with Meteor installed.
You can now switch easily between them!
